Law Philosophy

In 1918 the hero was a residence in Madrid, where she studied at her University of Law and Philosophy, where he met Ortega y Gasset, and remains as one of the best pupils. After extended study abroad: in Germany, Austria and Italy. Opposition in 1928 obtained by the chair of Philosophy of Law at the University of Santiago de Compostela. In 1930 he came to play the same chair at the University of Salamanca. In 1932 professed at the University of Valladolid, until 1936, taking possession of the same post at the University Central. “I want to be in Madrid professor of philosophy of law,” said Luis Recasens-Oh! ” He was a deputy in the Constituent Cortes of the Second Spanish Republic and in the 1933 elections, was also undersecretary of Industry and Director General of Local Government. In 1937, exiled in Mexico, he was appointed professor at the Faculty of Law at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), and in turn researcher at the Center for Philosophical Studies. From 1949 to 1954 is professor at the Graduate Faculty and the New School for Social Research, New York. From 1953 to 1954 is professor at NewYork University. Back to Mexico, where his chair is responsible for, and performance makes it compatible with numerous conferences abroad, and especially in Latin American countries, where it is considered luxuries philosopher. He was a collaborator of the magazine of the Spanish exile, Romance, published in 1940, and also the prestigious Mexican magazines Trimestre Economico, Revista Mexicana de Sociologia, Cuadernos Americanos and Research School of Jurisprudence.

His theory applied to the Spanish time (1931), and Propettiva Assunto the Diritti della filosofia (1934), Issues of Philosophy of Law, in historical perspective and vision (1934), Studies in Philosophy of Law (1936), Base the legal estimates, records of a given course at the University of Havana (1939), Human Life, Society and Law (1940), The Philosophy of Law in the Twentieth Century (1941), Lessons Sociology (1948), New Philosophy of interpretation of law (1956), general Treaty of sociology (1956), General Treaty on the philosophy of law (1959), Panorama of legal thought in the twentieth century (1963) and legal experience nature of things and reasonable logic (1971). In December 1975 he held the “Symposium Siches Luis Recasens, convened by the National Conference of Colleges and Professional Associations of Mexico and under the sponsorship of the National University in international warm tribute to Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Law at the UNAM , Professor of Philosophy of Law, on reaching fifty years of teaching activities, which involved the president of Mexico, Luis Echeverria Alvarez lawyer.
